Yoga at the Beach

Yoga at the Beach

Yoga indoors is ideal for most, but to me practicing yoga poses (asanas) on the beach is more beneficial and relaxing. It will awaken your mind and senses while immersing yourself in the fresh ocean air.

Whether you are new to yoga or just looking for a relaxing experience, yoga at the beach will help you develop muscle, flexibility, and balance in a calm and soothing environment.
The tradition of Yoga means, “to yoke” or “create union”. While at the beach, you “create a union” with nature through physical movement, breathing, and meditation.

Top 4 reasons why I love Yoga at the Beach

1. Practicing yoga on an uneven surface like sand builds the secondary muscles.

2. Nature is your music and no CD is required. Relax your body and mind with the touch of gentle sand and the sound of waves.

3. Crisp air helps the body improve the immune system and metabolism.

4. Sunlight is beneficial to the body and can help prevent SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder).

Nevertheless, a beautiful way to start and end the day, listening to the ocean and watching the sunrise and sunset.

Everyone can use a little motivation when it comes to yoga. I hope you enjoy reading this!

Always be a work in progress! Namaste. 🙏
